Hi.

My name is Chris, I qualified as a counsellor in July 2005,
I am here to answer your questions, through my association with Online Dating Reviews over the years I have gained a unique insight into the online dating industry, the pitfalls that seem to trap people time and time again, the highs experienced when a new partner is met, the insecurity of the first meeting, and the disbelief that you can actually meet a partner and be happy from the internet.

 

Internet dating is unique in the problems that arise, most of these problems arise from people’s ignorance of internet dating, believing it to be wrong or dangerous, though care must be taken when using a dating website, as long as simple commonsense rules are followed (see Dating Safety) it is no more dangerous, maybe slightly less dangerous than chatting up someone in a club or bar.

 

Though we cannot offer a counselling service over the internet, nor would we recommend that you ever use a web based counselling service, we can and will answer or provide general advice on specific questions concerning dating in general, sex in and out of relationships, relationship breakdown and new relationships.

We cannot offer personal advice specifically to your question, all questions will be answered in a general manner, should you need specific counselling we will be happy to recommend a local counsellor in your area, where the counsellor will have a better understanding of you and your issues having spoken to you face to face.
